Explore. Travel. Get Lost.

"Did you know, you can quit your job, you can leave university? You aren’t legally required to have a degree, it’s a social pressure and expectation, not the law, and no one is holding a gun to your head. You can sell your house, you can give up your apartment, you can even sell your vehicle, and your things that are mostly unnecessary. You can see the world on a minimum wage salary, despite the persisting myth, you do not need a high paying job. You can leave your friends (if they’re true friends they’ll forgive you, and you’ll still be friends) and make new ones on the road. You can leave your family. You can depart from your hometown, your country, your culture, and everything you know. You can sacrifice. You can give up your $5.00 a cup morning coffee, you can give up air conditioning, frequent consumption of new products. You can give up eating out at restaurants and prepare affordable meals at home, and eat the leftovers too, instead of throwing them away. You can give up cable TV, Internet even. This list is endless. You can sacrifice climbing up in the hierarchy of careers. You can buck tradition and others’ expectations of you. You can triumph over your fears, by conquering your mind. You can take risks. And most of all, you can travel. You just don’t want it enough. You want a degree or a well-paying job or to stay in your comfort zone more. This is fine, if it’s what your heart desires most, but please don’t envy me and tell me you can’t travel. You’re not in a famine, in a desert, in a third world country, with five malnourished children to feed. You probably live in a first world country. You have a roof over your head, and food on your plate. You probably own luxuries like a cellphone and a computer. You can afford the $3.00 a night guest houses of India, the $0.10 fresh baked breakfasts of Morocco, because if you can afford to live in a first world country, you can certainly afford to travel in third world countries, you can probably even afford to travel in a first world country. So please say to me, “I want to travel, but other things are more important to me and I’m putting them first”, not, “I’m dying to travel, but I can’t”, because I have yet to have someone say they can’t, who truly can’t. You can, however, only live once, and for me, the enrichment of the soul that comes from seeing the world is worth more than a degree that could bring me in a bigger paycheck, or material wealth, or pleasing society. Of course, you must choose for yourself, follow your heart’s truest desires, but know that you can travel, you’re only making excuses for why you can’t. And if it makes any difference, I have never met anyone who has quit their job, left school, given up their life at home, to see the world, and regretted it. None. Only people who have grown old and regretted never traveling, who have regretted focusing too much on money and superficial success, who have realized too late that there is so much more to living than this."

butterflies.

You know that feeling you get, the butterfly one.

I miss that. Just a little.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Basically what we have here is a dreamer. Someone completely out of touch with reality. When she jumped, she probably thought she she could fly.

run.

You may think the past has something to tell you. You may think that you should listen, should strain to make out its whispers, should bend over backward, stop down low to hear its voice breathed up from the ground, from the dead places. You may think there’s something in it for you, something to understand or make sense of.
But I know the truth: I know from the nights of coldness. I know the past will drag you backward and down, have you snatching at whispers of wind and the gibberish of trees rubbing together, trying to decipher some code, trying to piece together what was broken. Its hopeless. The past is nothing but a weight. It will build up inside of you like a stone. Take it from me, if you hear the past speaking to you, feel it tugging at your back and running its fingers up your spine, the best thing to do —the only thing— is run

A favorite;

Going Back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard, got your picture in my hand
Saying, "If you see this girl can you tell her where I am?"

Some try to hand me money, they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense but what else can I do
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Welp,

TODAYS THE DAY! not anymore. None what so ever. I refuse to be walked over. It's time for me to move on to bigger and better things. Todays the day that I block out the little pieces of my heart that feel like I must help you. I can't do it. You have to do it on your own. And you know what, I believe in you. I know you can do it. But I just can't be there any longer for you, for you to ruin my heart and make me feel sad or bad for you. You make your own decisions in life.

And right now my life decision isn't to flock to you.

Thank you.

& that's exactly what I'm doing.

Even if it leads nowhere
Or would it be a waste
Even if I knew my place
Should I leave it there
Should I give up,
Or should I just keep chasin' pavements
Even if it leads nowhere

I build myself up
And fly around in circles
Waitin' as my heart drops
And my back begins to tingle
Finally, could this be it..

Dear 2010,

you were a wonderful year. And you taught me
many many many different things. Things that
I will take with me into the new year. And
things that I will never ever forget.

I would like to say goodbye to you. And
thank you for being such a glorious,
lively, and inspiring year. But mostly
I would like to thank you for a year filled
with learning and generosity. You could have
been much worse.

Just a few things I've come to find this past year:
(A short list)

•I sometimes let people walk all over me.
(this i am working on)

•There will always be someone who loves you for you.

•People will not change for you, and you have to live
with the fact that they will always be how they intend.

•I'm finally pursuing my dream. Well one. It really is
coming true.

•Boys will be boys, and if someone dosn't make you a
priority, then all you will ever be is a option.

•Never ever lend money to anyone, for any reason. EVER.

•I am currently in the process of figuring where I want
to go in life, and what exactly I'm looking for.

•And lastly,
anyone is able to catch my eye, but its really going to
take someone special to catch my heart.

Luck.

Sometimes I feel like luck plays a big part
in everyone's lives. But sometimes I feel like
it could just be fate. Like a series of events led
up to the main event, whether it was good or bad.

Sometimes I wonder how you have good luck or bad
luck. And why exactly it happens. Do you think
that if you've been doing things that are positive
you have good luck, and if your doing things that
are poor you have bad luck. Or is it just our
decisions we make in life that bring bad luck or
good luck upon us.

I feel like the decisions we make in life bring
on bad and good luck, and whether the ending
result is positive or negative it all depends..
Like what if you could have done something just
a little different to where it could have changed
the entire result and that result ended for the best
instead of the worst.

If only common sense were used, and people thought
through the situations before they just acted upon
impulse. In every situation I try my very best not
to act on impulse. Because normally when I do the
result is bad luck. Or maybe not just bad luck but
a poor decision on my behalf.

So maybe there is no good luck or bad luck. And you
must go through life deciding what is best for you,
in the situation your in, and try not to just act
on an impulse. Whatever your doing, do it for you.
Not someone else.

Just for you.

Magic,

You've got magic inside your finger tips
Its leaking out all over my skin
Everytime that I get close to you
Your making me weak with the way you
Look through those eyes

But all I see is your face
All I need is your touch
Wake me up with your lips
Come at me from up above..

Lock it up.

This is “The Safest Wall” in Seoul, South Korea. Young couples show their love for each other by locking a pair of padlocks to this fence, and throwing the keys over the edge. By throwing away the keys, they are showing their undying commitment to each other.

I hope some day I'll have that much commitment for one person.

until.... he cheats on me.
hahahaha.

kidding! ;)

Hey you, yeah you!

HOLY COW!
I never realized how many fake people there are.
It's a little ridiculous.

I don't understand
why people try to be fake or are fake.

Be you,
Find you,
&&
Be happy with that.

I mean you are your own person at least
take initiative for thing's you've
done or accomplished in life.

Because if you are who you are
people will love you for you. Why would anyone want
to be friends with someone who is fake.
I mean I sure the heck wouldn't want to be.

If your yourself, and are very honest about who you are, and people
like you that's fine. And guess what, if they don't it's their loss.
But just be true to yourself.

If your not true to yourself, who's going to be true to you?
If your not honest with yourself, who's going to be honest with you?

1. Be yourself, truthfully
2. Accept yourself, gratefully
3. Value yourself, joyfully
4. Forgive yourself, completely
5. Treat yourself, generously
6. Balence yourself, harmounously
7. Bless yourself, abundently
8. Trust yourself, confidently
9. Love yourself, wholeheartedly
10. Empower yourself, immidetly
11. Give yourself, enthusiactically
12. Express yourself, radiently
